LAND + ARCHITECTURE
As a design student, I constantly ask what the difference between architecture and landscape architecture is. Inherently, there might be a difference between wilderness and the built environment but in a profession that demands us to work on the built environment, where do we draw the line between the two?
The title and topic of this blog is ‘Landing Architecture’, an experiment, an open-ended question, a quest to learn more about the similarities and differences between the two disciplines.
Additionally, I hope to better answer this intricate question through my studies and experiences as a dual degree student (M.Arch/MLA) at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to addressing this topic you will see what life is like as a student and young professional in PennDesign and Philadelphia.
